Jag makes breed history
This Update is dedicated to JAG, a truly outstanding represantative of his breed and to his breeder, owner, trainer and handler Cheryl Currie, Caprivi Kennels/Australia.
Jag´s full name is BIS/BISS Aust Ch Caprivi Inside Edge CDX ADM JDX ET R.O.M., a nearly unbelievable amount of titles! (which are explained in the addendum). The special thing about it in my eyes is, that these are not only conformation, but also obedience and endurance titles. Jag is representing to me the ideal image of a Ridgeback: not just a pretty face, he also has the ability for mental and physical performances. Above all the honour goes to Cheryl, who has bred Jag and led him to all his achievements - my great respect and a bow goes to the both of you!
"A great team - Cheryl and Jag"
Jag´s latest highlight was winning BOB and Runners Up to Best in Group (BIG-2) out of approximately 500 hounds at the prestigious Royal Adelaide Show/Australia in early September 2003 - at the honourable age of 9 ! years at his provisional show.
"Jag wins Best of Breed - he doesn´t look his age of nine years"

We had a great weekend ...
... together with our friend Kiki and her bitch Bakima Imani of Sambesi Waters at our very first show abroad. DIVA was awarded in Pointoise/France the 13 and 14 September 2003 in Junior Class both days 1st place with "Excellent" quality grading, including lovely critiques. Judges for our class were Mr John Sigve Berg/Norway and Mrs Béatrix Marcellot-Carbo/France. Divie topped her wins by proceeding to be awarded "Best Junior of Breed" twice! No need to say we are very very proud of our girl, who took this event like a professsional.

Organizer of both Shows, the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club de France and its members made an effort to create a comfortable atmoshere for the exhibitors also outside the ring with their hospitability and other little comforts. I think they succeeded quite well and we will be pleased to come back to France - merci beaucoup ;o) !

New pictures...
of Diva´s littermate NEO aka Ozrhode Wild Expectation.
Together with his owners Leanne and Shawn we are pleased about his successes so far, late April 2003 at the South Australian RR-Specialty Show he was awarded "Opposite Puppy in Show" (Puppy in Show became his cousin DENIM).
Diva and Neo in our view are very much look alike and we hope for a very promising future for both of them.
Good luck, Neo!

New Show Result for Diva
"For the first time the Rhodesian Ridgbacks were present on 08/04/03 at a combined show with Terriers, Foxterriers and Bullterriers in Heppenheim/Germany. The atmosphere was lovely at this open-air-exhibition in beautiful venue and I hope the Ridgbacks will be invited next year again - but hopefully the temperatures will be more moderate then (35°C+) ... ;o).
Diva´s result as always at her show results, more detailed info on this show can be found on the web at www.terrier-og-hessen-sued.de

Diva´s Show Debut
In a picturesque environment the DZRR Club-Show was held in Helevsiek/Appel, Germany on 17./18. May 2003.
As judges were invited breed specialists Mrs Janet Wang (Nomvuyo Kennels) and Mrs Liz Megginson (Shangara Kennels) from South Africa, breed entry each day was approxiamtely 120.
I am very very proud of our Miss Diva, who managed an "Excellent" (champion quality) under Mrs Wang and the following day proceeded to become 2nd best in Youth Bitch Class (Res. Jgd CAC), again with "Excellent" quality grading! All that in tough competition out of 23 lovely bitches at our show debut ... phantastic!!!
When congratulating her placegetters Mrs Megginson said, she liked those four young bitches very much, she would take home with her each of the girls immediately ;o).
